Orhan Pamuk's Translator Reviews Expat Harem in Cornucopia Magazine

Maureen Freely, professor, author, journalist, and translator of Orhan Pamuk's books Snow and Istanbul: Memories and the City, has reviewed Expat Harem in Issue 35 of Cornucopia Magazine, the publication for connoisseurs of Turkey and Turkish culture.

In her review, Freely finds "...insights from women who learn to read the cultural fine print." Deeming Expat Harem "a noble effort", she further prophesies, "Valuable today as an antidote to bigotry, it will, I am sure, serve as an even more valuable corrective to the blinkered historians of tomorrow."
